Okemo Mountain Resort Description:

Located in Ludlow, Vermont, Okemo offers 117 trails, 19 lifts, a 500 foot long halfpipe, several terrain parks, and extensive slopeside lodging. With 97% of their terrain covered by snowmaking, Okemo consistently ranks amongst the top resorts in the country for snow conditions. The mountain is ideal for all levels of skiers and snowboarders (32% of the trails are designated for novices, 36% for intermediates, and 32% for advanced/experts), and has an excellent reputation for catering to families.

Okemo Mountain Resort is located on Route 103 in Ludlow, Vermont. It is approximately 3 hours from New Haven, CT; 2 hours 45 minutes from Boston, and 4 hours 30 minutes from New York City. The nearest airport is 25 miles away in Rutland, Vermont. In addition, train service is available via The Amtrak Vermonter to Brattleboro, Vermont, and the new Ethan Allen Express to Rensselaer/Albany.

Snow Tubing is offered afternoons during weekends and holidays at the Jackson Gore Base Area. The Jackson Gore Base Area also features Ice Skating at the Ice House, a "snow fun playground" and firepit, and a fitness and aquatic center contained within The Springhouse.
