The 50-50 Railslide

By Christopher Del Sole, About.com

Definition: A 50-50 railslide is a jib trick where the snowboard is parallel to the rail, with half (50%) of the board on one side of the rail, and the other half on the other side of the rail. It's the most basic, and one of the easiest ways for a snowboarder to ride a rail, mainly because it's possible to ride directly onto the rail in the 50-50 position.
Alternate Spellings: 50/50, 5-0
Examples:
"That rail looks pretty sketchy...better 50-50 it first before you try anything more difficult."
