Footedness

By Christopher Del Sole, About.com

Definition: In boardsports such as snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding and wakeboarding, footedness refers to the tendency to prefer having a specific (either right or left) foot in front most of the time, in much the same way that people express a preference for the right or left hand in everyday use.

Riding left foot forward is called regular; riding right foot forward is called goofy.

A snowboarder that is riding with their unnatural foot forward is said to be riding switch.
