All Mountain Snowboarding

By , About.com Guide

Definition: All Mountain Snowboarding is one of several different snowboarding disciplines. All mountain snowboarders dabble in a little bit of everything the mountain has to offer, without specializing in one specific area. A typical day for an all mountain snowboarder may find them riding groomed trails, bumps, trees and powder, with a few runs through the halfpipe or the terrain park.
Pronunciation: [awl-moun-tn]
Also Known As: Freeriding
Examples:
When I was younger, I was a total parkrat, but now I spend more time all over the mountain, so I look for a good all mountain snowboard when buying new equipment.
