Although Seth Wescott has spent a great deal of time logging first descents in the mountains of Alaska, his career as a snowboard cross racer defines him. Wescott has been a Winter X-Games finalist 13 times, taking home 8 medals in the event. He has won three U.S. Championships, the 2005 World Championship, and two Olympic Gold medals (in 2006 and 2010), making him the only man to ever win Olympic Gold in snowboard cross.
Wescott began snowboarding at the age of 7, although he also skied while growing up. At the age of 13, he decided to focus full-time on snowboarding.
