Halfpipe

Definition: A halfpipe is defined as a U shaped terrain feature with near-vertical walls that is used in freestyle snowboarding to perform a variety of tricks and aerial maneuvers. Although similar to the halfpipe used by skateboarders, in-line skaters and bmx bicycle riders, snowboarding halfpipes are much longer (generally measuring between 300 and 500 feet long).

Also Known As: Stunt ditch, stunt tube, stunt taco, superpipe, the pipe.
