Gondola

Definition: The definition of a gondola is an enclosed car suspended from an overhead cable that is used to transport passengers up and down a mountain. Gondola cars come in many different sizes, seating anywhere between four and twelve passengers each. They may be heated, and some even feature speakers to play piped-in music.

Also Known As: Gondi, gondola car, cable car, ganja-la.

It was so cold today that we mostly rode the gondola to keep warm on the way up the hill.
