Definition:

The big air competition is a snowboarding discipline in which riders compete to perform the highest scoring maneuver on a single, massive jump. Riders are judged on the height, degree of difficulty, style, and landing of their maneuver. Aside from being a popular event in amateur and professional international competitions, big air is an official discipline in the FIS Snowboarding World Championships.
