Like all the Guides at About.com, I'm a real person and I love hearing from my readers. I check my email regularly, except when I'm on the hill or with my girlfriend. Checking my email on my smartphone while bombing through a glade of trees is only slightly more likely to result in debilitating injury than doing so while my girlfriend is educating me about the numerous and intensely interesting differences between the black leather pumps made by Gucci and those made by Prada.
