The Benefits of Spring

By April 30, 2014

Follow me on:

snowboarderThe season has ended in most places, but it hasn't ended everywhere. So, for those of you who aren't quite ready to hang up your snowboard for the season, I've put together a list of the best resorts in North America for late-season riding, including some of my personal favorites like Mt. Hood, Snowbird, and Canyons.

I even threw in a guide for dressing properly for spring riding, to make sure you can stay comfortable out there on the hill and keep from getting sunburned while you're catching air in the park.

Even though the season is drawing to an end, that doesn't mean there's no upside. This is the time of year when companies and shops are selling off unsold inventory super cheap. To help you find the cheapest of the cheap (think 60% off or more) I put together a list of some of my favorite websites for shopping for cheap snowboarding gear. And to supplement that, I also put together a quick tutorial on how to pick a good pair of half pipe gloves that will keep your hands toasty and won't fall apart.

Finally, there have been a lot of rumours about the retirement of a certain Mr. Shaun White. A lot of what they are is rumours based on very little real information. I've taken the liberty of separating fact from speculation in this article.
