Winter is Neigh

By October 28, 2013

railslideWhen most people see those first sprinkles of snow signifying winter is on the way, they reach for their boots, dust off their snow blowers and start complaining.

For snowboarders, that first snowstorm may very well be the best one of the year. It's the one that makes us grab our snowboard tool, run to the garage and begin preparing our board for the season.

It's also the time we make some critical decisions about how we're going to ride in the coming season.

Is this the year you're going to set your stance up for pipe riding and become the next Shaun White? Or maybe you want to try a new stance for park riding - one that will give you more speed, power and comfort when riding fakie.

And what if you just want to learn how to carve more precisely this season? Setting your bindings in a carving stance could help you advance from novice to giant slalom racer in a fraction of the time.

Whatever your goals are for riding this year, it's time to adjust your stance, tinker with forward lean and make sure your board and bindings are in top shape for another season of airs, rails and spraying powder on your friends.
