Loveland and A-Basin Are NOW OPEN!

Wednesday October 15, 2008

It's official - the 2008 snowboard season is underway, with Colorado's Loveland Ski Area and Arapahoe Basin dropping the ropes at 8:30 and 9 this morning, respectively.

Loveland is offering skiing and riding on one trail (40 acres) off of Chair 1, while A-Basin has one trail (20 acres) open being serviced by the Exhibition chairlift. For the jib-set, both areas have a handful of rails and other terrain park features set up.

Early season lift ticket pricing is in effect for both areas - tickets at Loveland are running $44 for adults, $21 for children ages 6-14; A-Basin is charging $49 for adults, $44 for youths ages 15 - 19, and $25 for kids ages 6 - 14. For the latest information on lift ticket pricing, snow conditions and more, be sure to visit the resort's websites listed at the end of this blog entry.
